What we build

Holiday & Permanent Lighting in Walled Lake, MI

Custom-fit holiday lighting installed, maintained, and taken down by a CLIPA-certified crew, plus app-controlled permanent lighting that stays up and looks sharp all year, for homes and businesses across the Lakes Area.

The work

Most holiday lighting problems start with the install. Ladders go up on icy rooflines, strands get stapled or nailed into shingles, gutters, and trim, and connections left unsealed short out the first time a January thaw drives moisture into them. What looked good on Thanksgiving is half dark by New Year's, and the roof paid for it.

Michigan Outdoor Creations runs a CLIPA-certified crew that designs, installs, and removes holiday lighting the way it should be done: measured to the actual roofline, hung on no-damage clips, and built on commercial-grade, cold-rated product. We also install permanent architectural lighting — a fixed LED channel system mounted once along the roofline and controlled from a phone app, so the same lights that run warm white year-round switch to red and green for the holidays, school colors for game day, or any color for a party, with no ladder trips. Same philosophy as the rest of our work: install it right once, and it holds.

What's included

What your Holiday & Permanent Lighting project includes

Christmas Light Installation Pros Association (CLIPA) certified installer

Our crew is CLIPA-certified — trained to the Christmas Light Installation Pros Association standards for safe, professional holiday lighting installation, from working at height on icy rooflines to sealed, cold-rated connections.

  • Custom-measured layout for rooflines, gutters, trees, shrubs, and hardscape edges — sized for the property, not a generic kit
  • Commercial-grade, weatherproof C9/C7 and mini-LED lighting rated for Michigan winters
  • No-damage clips and mounts — nothing stapled, nailed, or screwed into roofing, gutters, or trim
  • Full installation plus a mid-season check, and complete takedown after the holidays
  • Labeled, boxed off-season storage available, so next year's install starts from what worked this year
  • Permanent, app-controlled architectural lighting for year-round color, scenes, and holiday lighting on demand

How we build it

Our Holiday & Permanent Lighting process

01

Site read

We walk the roofline, trees, shrubs, and grounds — or your storefront and grounds on commercial jobs — and measure exact runs before quoting anything.

02

Scope

Light color, style, and coverage, or app zones and scenes for a permanent system, locked in with a written fixed price.

03

Build

Install on no-damage clips and mounts, run and secure every connection, and test each strand and zone before we leave.

04

Walkthrough

We walk you through the app or timer. For holiday lighting, we are back on the schedule for full takedown after the season.

The thing other contractors skip

Built for Michigan winters

Lights fail here for two reasons. Connections that were never sealed let moisture in, and the strand goes dark mid-January. And lights left up too long get buried under ice and snow load, which pulls at gutters and shingles all winter. We use sealed, cold-rated connections and locking connectors, and we schedule takedown promptly once the season is over so nothing is hanging on the house during heavy snow and ice removal.

The other half is working safely at height on an icy Michigan roofline. That is a trained, insured crew on the right equipment, not a homeowner on a ladder in December, and CLIPA certification is the standard behind how we install. It is the same safety-and-drainage-first discipline that runs through our hardscape work.
